Srinagar, Jul 27 (KNS): On the instructions of Minister for Education, Altaf Bukhari, Secretary Education Farooq A shah Thursday visited Leh and Kargil to take stock of the present status of the education infrastructure of the Ladakh region.
Secretary according to the statement issued to KNS held separate meetings for Kargil and Leh in Drass and Leh city respectively after an extensive tour to the far flung schools of the Ladakh region.
Shah was apprised about the problems and issues related to the education sector with reference to schools buildings, personal matters of the academic and non academic staff.
In the marathon meetings with CEO and ZEOs of the Kargil and Leh areas in which Joint Director Education was also present, Shah stressed the officials of the education department to work as missionaries particularly in the region which has no private sector operating in education.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The Secretary instructed the officials to get updated about the various schemes and educational programs so that these can be implemented for the overall improvement in curricular and extracurricular activities which will result in best results in academic, moral and holistic development of the future generations.
