Baramulla, Dec 8 (KNS) : A comprehensive crime review meeting was today convened by the SDPO Tangmarg at Police Station Kunzer, during which several key operational and supervisory matters were thoroughly examined to further strengthen policing efficiency and accountability.
During the meeting, the SDPO laid special emphasis on the time-bound disposal of cases, reiterating that all investigations must be completed within the mandated 60/90-day period. Clear instructions were issued for the prompt and proper registration of FIRs, strictly based on the merits and contents of applications received from the public.
The SDPO also underscored the importance of accurate and real-time updation of all CCTNS/IIF forms, including crime details and daily case diaries, so that the digital system accurately reflects the ongoing progress of investigations.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Directions were passed for the fast-track disposal of all pending backlog cases as well as newly registered cases, ensuring that no unnecessary delays occur. All Investigating Officers and MHC staff were instructed to keep their beat books, patrolling books, and all relevant registers—particularly Register 25 and Register 26—properly updated at all times. The officers were further advised to strictly adhere to all instructions issued during the meeting to ensure enhanced transparency, efficiency, and professionalism.
The SDPO cautioned that any lapse, negligence, or non-compliance with the directions shall invite necessary departmental action, reaffirming the commitment of the police administration to maintain high standards of discipline and service delivery.(KNS)
