Srinagar, Dec 25 (KNS): A sub divisional police officer was Friday injured during clashes between security forces and youth at Maisuma locality of the city after Friday prayers.
Inspector General of Police, IGP, Javaid Mujtaba Gilani, told KNS that Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Kothibagh, Fahad Tak was injured when he was hit by a stone on his face during clashes at Maisuma.
The IGP said that after receiving injury in his eye, the police officer was immediately rushed to AIIMS for specialized treatment.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The clashes erupted shortly after police detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, along with his activists, as they tried to take out a protest march against the killing of a woman and her minor son by a Village Defense Committee (VDC) member in Rajouri districton Thursday.
