Karnah, Apr 03 (KNS): Sub-District Magistrate (SDM) Karnah, Dr Alyas Ahmad Tuesday visited Swadhar shelter home Karnah.
He was accompanied with Tehsildar Karnah Nissar Ahmad Awan and distributed money pocket and notes books among the orphan girls who are registered with this NGO.
The social welfare board ministry of India running shelter home for orphan girls is providing free boarding and lodging as well as free education up to 10th class in this home.
At least 25 orphan girls and five widows are currently staying in this Swadhar shelter home at Tanghdar in Karnah Tehsil.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The home is funded by Ministry of women and child development.
Besides, five centres also run being by this reputed NGO where 0-6 age group children are being provided supplementary nutrition.
“The child are also imported pre-primary education through play way method,” Muhammad Yaseen Lone, chairman of Swadhar shelter home Tanghdar said.
While interacting with children, SDM urged them to take full advantage of the facilities being provided and learn skill so that they can create their livelihood. (KNS)
