Schools in snow-bound areas will be reopened after assessing situation locally: B K Singh

Srinagar, Mar 01 (KNS): Principal Secretary School Education Bishwajit Kumar Singh on Tuesday said that schools in snow-bound areas will be reopened after assessing the situation locally. 

 
Talking exclusively to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Singh said that they are trying to explore possibilities how to compensate losses suffered by students in snow-bound areas.
 
He said that a review meeting in this regard will be held tomorrow and after consulting local administration of respective areas, a decision will be taken.
 
He said that directors of Kashmir and Jammu have been adviser to allow reopening of schools after assessing local situation in snow-bound areas of Jammu and Kashmir. 
 
He also said that children should attend schools from tomorrow happily and without any fear as COVID cases are declining and requested students to follow all SOP’s during school hours.
 
About transfer of government teachers from hard zones, Singh said that the process is online and only those teachers are eligible for transfer who have served in hard zone schools for more than 4 years. Department (SED) J&K.(KNS)
