Srinagar, Feb 24 (KNS): The Schools in Kashmir valley on Monday re-opened after remaining closed for over seven months.
The educational institutes in Kashmir valley were closed after restrictions and shutdown following the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5 and in between the customary three-month winter break was also announced by the government.
On Monday, most schools in valley were buzzing with students and parents were seen accompanying students to their schools.
School education department had put all arrangements in place and the timing for the schools falling within Srinagar’s municipal limits was earlier announced from 10 am-3 pm, while in the rest of Kashmir division, the timing is 10.

The students were happy to be back at the schools after remaining home all these months.
Muskan Ayoub , a student of class 6 at a private school told KNS that she is feeling good to be back at the school.
Another student of a prestigious private school Mudasir Qadri said they were feeling bored at home and it was exciting to be among friends and classmates once again.
“It was boring to sit idle at home, and wait for the schools to re-open. Finally, there is some excitement to be back with my classmates,” he said. (KNS)
