Meanwhile, students of Government High School Chukar staged a protest on Friday and blocked the Pattan-Kunzer road for some time, demanding justice and immediate restoration of school infrastructure.

The protesting students alleged that no civil administration official or local MLA had visited the school after the incident.

They said only police officials had reached the spot and assured them that the accused would be arrested soon.

The students expressed concern over the impact of such incidents on their education and future, saying educational institutions should not become targets of theft.
