Srinagar, May 12 (KNS): Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary has expressed concern over the constant closure of Jammu- Srinagar highway and the hardships being faced by the traders due to the choking of the only route that connects valley with the outer world.
Kadfeen in a statement said that the acute scarcity of essentials has created panic all across Kashmir Valley that too during the pious month of Ramadan. Kadfeen said that it has raised several questions over whether the government intentionally is taking such measures which are hounding the people of Kashmir in more ways than one. Kadfeen added that the government was ought to stock enough supplies of essential commodities in advance for the sacred month of Ramadan, however, said Kadfeen, with administration caught napping, the crises engulfing the Valley at present was inevitable.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He accused the BJP government of adopting a different yard stick for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and putting the trade and commerce of the state besides the daily life of the people in dire straits.
Kadfeen said that the spiraling crises in the state merits immediate attention of the central government and that the scarcity of supplies must end with immediate measures. (KNS)
