Ramban, May 17 (KNS) : The 1856 MW Sawalkote Hydroelectric Project (HEP), being executed by NHPC, on Sunday launched the 'Swacchta Pakhwada-2026' campaign with a mass cleanliness drive at its project headquarters here.
Led by Head of Project (HOP) Shri Dinabandhu Boral, employees and staff armed with brooms and dustbins cleared litter and debris from the premises.
"Mahatma Gandhi believed there is no freedom greater than cleanliness. This campaign awakens collective responsibility towards a clean environment," Boral said in his keynote address.

The 16-day campaign will feature a mass rally, paper-bag distribution, selfie and Swacchta-pledge drives. The project headquarters was adorned with Swachhta banners and organic flowers, while workers ensured drainages were muck-free.
"We should all contribute to cleanliness at workplace, home, and everywhere. Even small contributions matter," Boral added. (KNS).
