Srinagar August 20 (KNS): Secretary Youth Services and Sports in collaboration with Jammu Kashmir tourism on Saturaday inaugurates golf training course for students here in Srinagar.

While inaugurating Golf training course, Speaking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Secretary Youth Services and Sports Sarmad Hafeez on Saturady said that Golf that is considered game of elite is open to our youth espically to our girls to excel in the field of sports.

On the occasion, Sarmad Hafeez said that, we are starting golf training for several government school students to explore the golf among our students. It's been always said that the golf is sport of elites, but we are opening to all the students who are interested to learn.

We have students from various government schools, earning training under our golf academy, so that this will help us to explore our students.  

LG administration is committed to provide every opportunity to our students to promote sports at every level, he said.  

Kashmir youth has lot of talent, they are proving their metal everywhere and we are seeing this that our youth are earning medals from national and international event's, he added.

He also said that training is being organized with aim to keep our youth away from drugs and other ill activities.

On this occasion besides, Secretary Tourism, Director SKICC Bakshi Javid, officials from tourism and Youth services and sports were also present.(KNS)
