Srinagar, May 25 (KNS): A spontaneous shutdown was observed in Sarai Bala area of Srinagar on the second consecutive day on Wednesday against the killing of two militants who according to the police were killed in a brief encounter by security forces here on late Monday evening.
All the shops and other business establishments remained closed for the second consecutive day while the traffic was thin on roads.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik according to the statement issued to KNS visited Sarai Bala.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
While addressing people, Malik condemned the killings of these boys and expressed solidarity with protesting people there.
Two militants were killed by security forces in Sarai Balla locality here on late Monday evening.
The brief encounter started hours after three policemen including an Assistant sub-Inspector, were killed in two separate militant attacks in Srinagar. (KNS)
