Calls Mohit Bhan's criticism of Congress a case of 'rhetoric over substance'; reminds PDP of its own ideological roots
Srinagar, July 17 (KNS): In a pointed rebuttal to remarks made by PDP spokesperson Mohit Bhan, the Jammu & Kashmir State Head of the All India Professionals' Congress (AIPC), Sanjay Sapru, has accused some local parties of engaging in "rhetoric over substance" and lacking a grounded historical understanding.
Responding to Bhan's criticism of the Congress for not demanding the restoration of Articles 370 and 35A, Sapru said that it was ironic for a party like the PDP—whose very existence, according to him, is rooted in the legacy of India's oldest political party—to question the Congress's stand on Jammu and Kashmir.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
"Let us not oppose for the sake of opposition," Sapru asserted. "Some parties seem to have forgotten their own political lineage. They are a product of the same Congress tradition they now conveniently criticize."
He emphasized that political discourse in the region must be guided by clarity, honesty, and historical awareness—not opportunism.(KNS)
