With the standoff continuing between students and administration of BGSBU over alleged scholarship scam, the varsity authorities Saturday alleged Sangarash Samiti for instigating the protests and hatching conspiracies for the closure of the university.
One of the top officials of the university insisted not to be named told KNS over phone that members of the Sangarsh Samiti were instigating and exploiting the college students just to malign the image of the BGSBU.
“One of the top leaders of the BJP who is member of the Sangarash Samiti wants the closure of the university and is using the university as a battle field to gain the political mileage,” he alleged.
He further said that the Sangarsh Samiti has hired some of the college students and staff members to create mess in the university. “I can say you that it is a big conspiracy by this Samiti to malign the image of the university,” the official said.
He said that despite the three committees which were constituted to investigate the alleged scholarship scam, some of the students are not willing to join the classes. “One committee from the Jammu and Kashmir tribal affairs headed by the secretary has completed the enquiry and has submitted it to the government.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelAnother committee which is headed by the Ghulam Ahmad Dar, one of the official of the university, has also submitted his enquiry report to the office of VC BGSBU University.
The official appealed the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister to intervene into the matter. “It will be wrong if some elements with their personal interests do not want this university to run properly. We appeal the Chief Minister Mufit Mohmmad Syeed and the Deputy Chief minister Dr Nirmal Singh to intervene into the matter.”
It is to mention here that no class work is taking place for the past 12 days in the BGSBU, as the students are demanding speedy probe into the alleged scholarship scam and arrest of culprits.
The students have put forwards three demands before the administration as a condition to end the strike.
The demands are reconstitution of Special Investigation Team (SIT), suspension of Registrar BGSBU during the period of investigation and investigation of three bank accounts (SB287, SOD1 & CD2). KNS
