Srinagar, August 5 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement today organized a free medical in Bemina Srinagar for the flood affectees and downtrodden population of the city.
Hundreds of men, women and children of Boat Colony and Firdous Colony thronged to the medical and availed free consultation and medicine worth lakhs of rupees. Senior Party leaders were present in the medical camp, however party chairman Zaffer Akbar who is under house detention from past over five weeks couldn’t visit the medical camp.
Over dozens doctors including allopathic, examined the patients during the whole, party spokesman said in a statement here. They provided necessary knowledge to visiting people about the water born diseases and other diseases, he added.
Spokesman said that organizing free medical camp was to provide best health care facilities to the people especially flood affected and downtrodden who are not in a position to avail the same from private hospitals.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe said that since September 2014, party has actively provided every kind of relief to affectees.
“Earlier party distributed eatables, bedding and other basic amenities worth lakhs of rupees to people so such camps will be organized in future as well,” spokesman said.
Meanwhile, incarcerated party Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat committed to continue such pro-people activities. He said that despite passage of several months, the “puppet” government failed to rehabilitate flood victims which should serve an eye opener for the international community which was not allowed to help Kashmiris by Indian government during devastating floods. He appealed International Community to ship their aid into Kashmir and help the poor people.
