Srinagar, Nov 03 (KNS): Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement on Tuesday paid glowing tributes to Faisal Yousuf and Mehraj Ahmad Dar on their first martyrdom anniversary.
Duo was killed by army in a ‘cold blooded murder’ in 2014 last year in Chattergam area of Budgam district. Two other youth also sustained injuries in the unprovoked and indiscriminate firing.
Locals, salvation Movement activists, leaders led by Molvi Rafiq took out a rally in Novgam and raised high pitched slogans in favor of Islam and freedom. Rally culminated at the Martyrs graveyard.
Earlier, in a condolence meet at the residence of martyrs, party expressed sympathy with the families of martyred youth and paid glowing tributes to martyrs of Kashmiris and innocent youth martyred by the forces.
Senior leader, Molvi Rafiq addressing the meeting asked Indian government to answer as why they failed to punish the army men involved in the killing of two innocent youths despite publicly admitting that they (Army men) killed innocents.
“After killing two innocent youth, army ordered an inquiry into the incident and promised that the probe will be completed within 10 days but a year after army has neither completed the probe and nor it has punished the guilty,” Party senior leader, Molvi Rafiq addressing the meeting said.

Demanded an impartial probe into the incident and exemplary punishment to the murderers, Molvi Rafiq said that cold blooded murder of Kashmiri youth is an open display of state terrorism to which the people of Kashmir are repeatedly subjected.
Meanwhile, Spokesman also condemned the fresh arrest spree and said that forces have detained dozens of activists in Srinagar, Palhalan, Budgam, Kulgam, Pattan and other areas of Kashmir. He slammed authorities for arresting Party Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat and other pro-freedom leaders and said such oppressive tact’s can’t suppress the movement and proposed ‘Srinagar Million March’.
He said that police is frequently raiding the residence of Pulwama district head.
Spokesman retreated support to ‘Srinagar Million March’ for countering Indian prime minister’s rally and urged people to participate in the million march for retreating support to ongoing freedom struggle.
He also supported November 6 Program of Mirvaiz Umar Farooq for remembering the sacrifices of Jammu Muslims. Quoting imprisoned Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat, spokesman urged visiting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to announce political package rather than announcing economic package as Kashmiris are fighting and scarifying their lives for political and democratic rights and not for economic rights.
