Khull, DH Pora, July 19 (KNS): In a step towards improving healthcare and livestock services in rural areas, Minister for Health, Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education, Sakeena Itoo, today inaugurated a New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) and a Sheep Extension Centre at Khull village in DH Pora.
The NTPHC, built at a cost of ?1.88 crore, is set to provide better healthcare services to the people of Khull and nearby villages. The newly constructed Sheep Extension Centre, developed by the R&B Department at a cost of ?40.62 lakh, will offer regular veterinary treatment, minor surgeries, extension services, and sheep shearing. The facility aims to strengthen livestock care and promote animal welfare in the region.
Speaking at a large public gathering, Sakeena Itoo said the Omar Abdullah-led government is dedicated to ensuring basic facilities in every rural area.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelShe added that the new health centre will play an important role in providing accessible and improved healthcare services to the local population.
“The government is committed to the development and prosperity of all rural regions and will fulfill the promises made to the people,” she said.
Sakeena Itoo said that inclusive development across Jammu and Kashmir is the government’s top priority.
Later, the Minister met several public delegations and individuals, listened to their concerns, and assured them that their genuine issues would be addressed quickly.
Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Athar Aamir Khan, Director Health Services Kashmir, and senior officers from the Agriculture Production, Health, and district administration departments were also present on the occasion.(KNS)
