Banihal,  September 06:(KNS)   J&K National Conference leader and district president Ramban Sajjad Shaheen has expressed grief over the damage to property in a fire incident at village Mangit, Khari in Banihal Constituency today 

Shaheen was accompanied by DDC councillor Khari Mrs Gulshana Parveen and functionaries of the party.

While expressing sympathies with the victims during their visit to Mangit, Shaheen assured them of every possible help. They also urged the district administration to carry out relief and rehabilitation measures for the victims of the fire incident.

Shaheen  said that there is an immediate need of establishing well-equipped fire service stations across the district, adding that in hilly areas such stations should be opened at block level.

Shaheen has demanded setting up of fire service stations at Khari, Mahoo, Ramsoo, Neel, Ukharhal to cater the needs of the people in the area.

Shaheen also lauded the local villagers, police, Jawans of 23 Army Nachlana for their timely efforts in controlling the fire from further spreading.

 BDC Chairman Sajad Ahmed Hajam, Block President Khari Mohd Ashraf Naik, Block Secretary Abdul Gani Wani,  Sarpanch Mohd Rafique Naik besides Abdul Jabbar Mir, Mohd Ramzan Wani, Mohd Anwar Naik, Farooq  Ahmed Goth, Mahran Ahmed Wani amongst others also accompanied the leader.(KNS)
