Remembers him as scholar, leader, humanitarian and a fatherly figure
Srinagar, Sept 29 (KNS): J&K Peoples Conference President and MLA Handwara Sajad Gani Lone on Monday remembered the revered Islamic scholar and community leader, Molvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari (RA), on his death anniversary, describing him as “a great scholar, a great leader and a great human being.”
In a deeply personal tribute, Lone recalled his long association with Molvi Ansari, which began during his childhood when the late cleric worked alongside his father, Abdul Gani Lone. “I have had the fortune of spending time with Molvi sahib.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelFirst as a child when he was my late father’s colleague, and then as a fatherly figure,” he said.
Sharing fond memories, Lone spoke of their travels abroad for seminars and the warmth with which Molvi Ansari treated him.
“I remember how he would order me around as he would order around his own children. So compassionate, so loving,” he remarked, adding that Ansari’s loss is felt year after year.
“May Allah grant him Jannat,” Lone said in his prayer for the departed leader.(KNS)
