Srinagar, May 07 (KNS): Strongly reacting against the state government’s proposed plan of setting up a Sainik colony in the state and identifying of land in this regard, the ailing chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Saturday warned of public protests if such move is implemented.
In a statement issued to KNS, Shah who is admitted in Fortis hospital, New Delhi, said the people of Jammu and Kashmir will never allow the government of India’s conspiracy to settle the retired armed personnel and non-state subjects in the state under the garb of Sainik colony succeed at any cost.
“Such Israeli type settlements will be opposed tooth and nail,” he said.
Expressing concern over the authorities’ directions to DCs to identify land in Srinagar and Budgam, Shah said the Mehbooba Mufti-led government has surrendered itself before BJP.
Shah said if Mehbooba Mufti lets BJP-RSS fulfill their agendas in J&K, “it would be a political death for her and end of PDP in the state”. “Mehbooba Mufti’s ambiguous stand over the issue is raising questions and she has to clear her stand otherwise her silence would be taken as affirmation,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Meanwhile, on hearing the news of martyrdom of mujahideen in Panzgam, Pulwama of south Kashmir, Shabir Ahmad Shah expressed grief over the loss of precious lives of youth. He reiterated of taking the martyrs’ mission to its desired goal.
Paying tributes to Shaheed Ishfaq Ahmad Baba, Shaheed Haseeb Ahmad Palla, and Ishfaq Ahmad Dar, Shah expressed solidarity with the bereaved families and prayed for their forbearance.
A Freedom Party’s delegation led by its district president Pulwama, Muhammad Amin, participated in the funeral prayers of martyred mujahideen. They also visited the families of martyrs and expressed solidarity with them.
Another delegation led by DFP general secretary Moulana Abdullah Tari which included Molvi Bashir Ahmad, Manzoor Ahmad Ghazi, Shabir Ahmad Baba, Sajad ul Haq, Nazir Ahmad Tinda, and Ghulam Rasool, visited the residence of Abdul Majeed Khan in Islamabad who passed away on Thursday. The delegation prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. (KNS)
