Srinagar, May 10 (KNS): Senior Hurriyat (M) leader and Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples' League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza on Tuesday warned the government on setting up of Sainik Colony for retired army personnel in Kashmir, saying that such plans are aimed at changing demographics in the state.
Chairing a high level meeting at Party headquarter in Srinagar, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza according to statement issued to KNS observed that to change the demography of the state and to dilute its special position, New Delhi under a sinister design is trying to settle the retried armed troopers and homeless beggars by establishes separate colonies.
He said that New Delhi’s plan of establishing Sainik Coloins in Kashmir will be resisted tooth and nail and people, who have rendered uncounted sacrifices for the peaceful settlement of Kashmir dispute, will never allow India to succeed.
Waza pointed out that Sanik colonies and separate zones create misunderstandings between the people of Kashmir on communal basis and could help India to change the Muslim character of the state.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that Abul A'la Maududi (RA) has already predicted that India will try every policy to change the Muslims majority Border States into Hindu Majority for securing the borders; however Kashmiris will never allow India to change the demography and Muslim Character of the state for prolonging illegal occupation over the state.
Waza said that Pro-freedom leadership will leave no stone unturned to aware the people to resist these anti-movement and anti-Kashmir plans of New Delhi that could erode the state subject law of Jammu and Kashmir.
He warned of serious repercussions if the puppet government went ahead with then plan of establishing Sainaik colonies in Kashmir on Israeli type settlement policy.
Mukhtar Ahmad Waza also slammed government for its proposed plan of constructing permanent shelters for non-state subjects beggars.
He termed such policies open aggression and asked people stand up against all such sinister designs of New Delhi and puppet government. (KNS)
