Srinagar, Jan 28 (KNS): Former Minister and senior Congress leader Prof. Saifuddin Soz expressed deep sorrow over the death of veteran journalist and author Mark Tully, describing him as one of the most perceptive and empathetic foreign observers of India.
In a condolence message, Soz stated that Tully’s passing marks the end of an era in journalism, particularly for those who valued nuanced and ground-level reporting on India. He remarked that Tully’s writings and broadcasts reflected a deep understanding of Indian society, culture, and politics—a quality rare among foreign correspondents.
