Srinagar, Oct 31 (KNS): Renowned poet Naseem Shafai’s award winning collection of Kashmir poetry “Na Tshay Na Aks” (Neither a shadow nor a Reflection) has been translated into English language.
The English translation has been done by prominent literati and social activist Prof Indu Kilam and has been published by the Sahitya Akademi.
The poetic collection, second by Naseem Shafai was in 2009 selected for first Tagore Award, sponsored by South Korean government, for honouring distinguished writers of different Indian languages.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
In 2011, the said collection was also nominated for the annual Sahitya Akademi award, the highest honour for any writer and author.
Naseem, who has emerged as one of the finest feminist voices of modern Kashmiri language, looks at life through the lens of humanism and imaginative warmth besides weaving images of human complexities artistically.
Naseem’s selected Kashmiri poetry has also been translated in different languages like Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Kanada, Telugu, Tamil, Assamese as also German language. (KNS)
