Srinagar, 19 Jul: The Jammu & Kashmir national Conference General Secretary and MLA Khanyar Ali Mohammad Sagar Saturday presided over a review meeting at the Banquet Hall in Srinagar to discuss the advancement of development projects in the Theed A and Theed B Blocks of Khanyar constituency.

The focus of the meeting was on strengthening the rural infrastructure through various developmental schemes, including NREGA, PRI, and CD Panchayat schemes.

During the meeting, Sagar announced the approval of ?1.33 crore for various development works aimed at bolstering rural infrastructure. These initiatives are expected to provide much-needed support to the rural population of Khanyar by improving local facilities and services.

Additionally, Sagar released financial allocations to address the critical needs of the constituency. A further ?45 lakhs has been earmarked to improve educational facilities in the region, ensuring better learning environments for local students. Furthermore, nearly ?1.5 crore will be invested in augmenting and upgrading the existing water supply systems, providing a more reliable and sustainable water source for the rural communities.

In his address, Sagar emphasized the importance of these investments in uplifting the overall quality of life in Khanyar's rural areas. “These projects are designed to improve the living standards of our people by ensuring access to essential services like healthcare, education, and clean water. We are committed to laying the groundwork for sustainable development and creating a prosperous future for the people of Khanyar,” he said.

He emphasised that he will continue to prioritize essential infrastructure and services to ensure the progress and well-being of residents in the constituency.(KNS)
