Srinagar, Sep 1 (KNS): Chairperson of the J&K State Haj Committee, Safina Beigh, on Thursday asked the people of Jammu and Kashmir to send suggestions on how to enhance the services and accommodations for pilgrims making the Haj. She stated that the primary responsibility of the J&K UT Haj Committee is to provide Haj application forms to intending pilgrims of the J&K people by receiving Haj applications, scrutinising them, preparing data, and forwarding Haj applications, remittances, and data of pilgrims in the prescribed format to the Haj Committee of India, in addition to orientation and training of pilgrims and carrying out various directives issued by the Haj Committee of India for the J&K people, a statement issued to KNS reads.
She continued by saying that in order to make the pilgrimage more relaxing and to better serve the Hajis, suggestions from the local population or aspiring Haj aspirants are essential.
