Srinagar, Oct 21 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) president and MLA Khansahib, Hakim Mohammad Yasin Friday said that government has violated principles of natural justice by issuing “arbitrary, unilateral and inhuman decision” to sack employees for their alleged participation in pro-freedom protests during the ongoing uprising.
“The termination orders issued against government employees is arbitrary, unilateral and inhuman. Nobody can be condemned unheard,” he told KNS.
“The order issued by the government is null and void in the eye of law. There was no inquiry against the allegations on which government has issued termination orders. Victim employees were not provided an opportunity to be heard,” he said.
MLA Khansahib added that such orders were issued in 1986 and in 1990 when the state was under Governor’s rule.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“The elected government should not act like this,” he said.
In an unprecedented move, the J&K Government has sacked several employees who were accused by the J&K police’s intelligence wing—the Criminal Investigation Department—of spearheading or participating in protests during the ongoing pro-freedom uprising in Kashmir.
He also urged government to defer the planned examinations of class 10 and class 12. “Instead of giving students concession, the government should defer the planned exams at least till January 2017 so that the students could compensate the loss they suffered,” he said. (KNS)
