Srinagar, Oct 16 (KNS): Vice chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Mushtaq Ahmad Ajmal on Saturday said the party chief, Muhammad Yasin Malik is alright and false rumors about his health and wellbeing are all fabricated and ill intended.
Terming these rumors as fabricated, ill intended and malicious, Ajmal in a statement issued to KNS said that on so many occasions these kinds of false news have been floated by some miscreants with a probable intention to create confusion among people and today after these rumors surfaced again JKLF felt necessity of issuing a clarification in this regard.
He said that JKLF chairman was arrested on the evening of 8th July 2016; he was suffering from various ailments at that time but was immediately placed under solitary confinement at police station Kothibagh. “He was cut off from outside world and even his meetings with visitors were banned and despite deteriorating health was denied medical attention,” Ajmal said.
Ajmal said that on 30th July 2016 Malik was shifted to central jail Srinagar and ban on his visitors remained unchanged and so did the denial of proper medical care to him. “On 30th august 2016 Yasin Malik along with other leaders Noor Muhammad Kalwal and Showkat Bakhshi was shifted to JIC Humhama but his disconnection from the rest of the world continued,” he said.
He said that from JIC, Malik was shifted to Humhama police mess but on 19th September 2016 he was again shifted to JIC Humhama and placed under solitary confinement in a dilapidated cell.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“His health considerably deteriorated in the cell and doctors in writing recommended to authorities to keep him at some better place as he was facing grave medical problems,” he said.
Ajmal said that recent medical tests of JKLF chairman taken at a private hospital have shown a 7.7 mm stone obstructing the left upper ureter and tests regarding his heart were also not satisfactory after which he was again shifted to central jail Srinagar on 9th October 2016.
JKLF vice chairman said that despite all these health constraints JKLF chairman’s spirits are very high and he is facing all these hardships at central jail Srinagar with utmost passion and valor. JKLF vice chairman said that Yasin’s health is not well but rumors about his health and wellbeing seem to be a work of some miscreants who probably want to create confusion by these rumors.
Terming these rumors as ill intended and fabricated JKLF vice chairman appealed people to remain aware of rumor mongers and keep praying for the wellbeing of Malik and other leaders and also for all those who have suffered during last 100 days of state sponsored oppression. (KNS)
