Jammu, Jan 21 (KNS): Opposition members created ruckus in Assembly over the deepening power crisis in Kashmir and parts of Chinab Valley in Jammu division as soon as the assembly started Congress MLA Vikar Rasool raised the issue and other opposition members started shouting slogans against the government for what they called brute failure of the administration in restoring power in Kashmir and parts of Chinab Valley. Vikar Rasool told the house that 30 transformers are pending for repairs in different workshops in his home constituency Banihal.
According to KNS correspondent covering the assembly proceedings, others angered by the deepening power crisis, delay in repairing the damaged transformers and unscheduled power cuts in their constituencies have MLA Kanyar Ali Mohammad Sagar, MLA Kargil Asgar Ali Karbalaie, MLA Shopian Mohammad Yousuf Bhat and MLA Sopore Haji Abdul Rashid Dar and others.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Shouting anti-government slogans the opposition members went into the well of the house after Parliamentary Affairs Minister Abdul Rahman Veeri sought one week time for repairing the damaged transformers.
Not satisfied with Veeri’s reply the entire opposition staged walkedout in protest from the house. (KNS)
