Srinagar, Jul 31 (KNS): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Rajya Sabha member Fayaz Ahmad Mir while clearing the chaos over his absence from voting against the Trippel Talaq Bill, said the bill was fraudulently passed and I’ll give answer to the party leadership in this regard if any action will be taken against me.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) over phone from New-Delhi, Fayaz Mir said, I’m unable to understand how the house passed Tripple Talaq bill. “We don’t know how triple talaq bill had been passed by the house. I along with another party member Nazir Ahmad Laway, expressed our party stand over the issue, later on we went for a tea and meanwhile the bill had been passed by the house fraudulently”.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He added, the house had earlier decided the bill would be send to select committee for further deliberation. But fraudulently they passed the bill when we were not present inside.

He said if party President Mehbooba Mufti has decided to take action of our absence, she has full right to take note of this and we too have a right to defend ourselves. This was not a deliberate attempt from our side but the house ‘cheated us along with many members’. (KNS)
