Rs 600/- Per Kanal Compensation Cruel Joke, 1800/ Per Kanal Reasonable: Sadhotra

Jammu November 16:(KNS) It is sad and unfortunate that after expiry of 22 days of crop loss due to heavy rains and hailstorm, Govt has failed to deliver compensation to Kisans. It has exposed BJP Govt’s anti Kisan mindset and insensitivity towards problems of the Kisans said Ajay Kumar Sadhotra Former Minister and Senior National Conference Leader while addressing one dayconvention of delegates and prominent workers of the Mandal Block at Sum which was held under the chairmanship of Pt. Pardeep Sharma Local Senior Leader.

It is being told that Rs. 600/- per Kanal compensation will be given. Sadhotra said Rs. 600/- per Kanal compensation of total loss of crop is cruel joke with Kisans, he urged the Govt that keeping in view huge loss and higher cost of farming Kisans should be given Rs. 1800/- Per Kanal compensation so that Kisans could cultivate nextwheat crop also. 

National Conference Leader further urged the Govt. that at this time of crisis Govt should come to the rescue of the Kisans and give sense of belongings to them by giving them Rs. 1800/- per Kanal compensation which is less then real cost of cultivation of paddy.

Inputs and labours cost is very high. Kisan have made their fields ready for the next crop that there is acute shortage of fertilizers.

He asked the Kisans to unite and fight for their genuine cause and National Conference as usual is committed to stand by the Kisans.

Rahgbir Singh newly appointed President Rural of the party was also felicitated in the convention by the participants. Mr Raghbir Singh assured the Leadership and the party Colleagues that he shall work hard to strengthen the hands of Party President and Vice President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Mr. Omar Abdullah and unitedly take the programme of the party to every door step.

Subedar Kartar Chand, Pawan Singh and Mohinder Pal of Makwal and Makwal Camp joined the party. The new entrants were welcomed with the hope that their joining shall further strengthen the party.
