Roll back disengagement order of ICDS helpers immediately: Monga to govt

Srinagar, September 12:(KNS)  While expressing serious concern over the decision of J&K administration to disengage 918 helpers to supervisors in ICDS Scheme of Social Welfare department, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Vice President and former MLC G N Monga today urged the government to immediately roll back the disengagement order.

In a statement issued to the press from here he said the only achievement of the BJP government in J&K in the last more than three years has been that it has rendered thousands of people jobless. “And now nearly 1000 poor women have been added to the list. Instead of providing employment, this government is snatching the livelihood of those who were already working, which is unfortunate,” Monga rued.
He said these helpers besides doing their primary duties were at the forefront of the government’s fight against Covid-19 pandemic since last year and there is no genuine reason to disengage them.
“With one order, the livelihood of more than 900 families has been snatched which is highly unfortunate and needs to be rolled back immediately,” the Congress leader demanded.(KNS
