Poonch, Mar 27 (KNS): National Conference today termed road connectivity sector as one of the worst affected one due to misgovernance in era of present state government and said that several vital road projects started by previous government on public demand have been shelved in today's time.
Youth National Conference Provincial President Ajaz Jan issued this statement after touring several villages of Saujiyan today.
During his day long tour, Jan visited several villages of panchayat Saujiyan close to LoC and interacted with people there and later convened a meeting of block body of NC at Mandi town.
Besides getting first hand knowledge of issues of masses on gross root level during his tour, Jan was also appraised about public problems by NC block body workers during the meeting.
In a statement issued to KNS, Ajaz Jan accused state government of shelving vital road projects of Poonch for reasons better known to people in government.
"Saujiyan to Chapriya link road, Bader to Balani road, Jalian to Atoli link road, Jallian to Cheela road, Pleara to Chekri road, Mori Arai link road, Bedar to Dunnugam road, Bila to More Ban road, Barachar to Markot, Sathra to Bandi road, Chakara mandir to Chakrara, Salonia to Gali, Fathpur to Moreban link road are among a number of other roads started by previous government on public demands but instead of taking the work on these roads further, present government has shelved these projects " Jan accused.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He further said that entire Poonch is facing problems due to water scarcity but concerned departments and government have failed to give some respite to suffering masses.
He further castigated government for turning deaf ear towards genuine demand of setting up of Degree College at Mandi.
