Srinagar, Dec 23 (KNS): A day after news about the death of Jamaat-e-Islamia worker, Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, all the entery points leading to Kulangam, Handwara were sealed on Monday by the authorities to thwart any protests.
Eyewitnesses told KNS that there was large deployment of police and parliamentary forces in the area who were checking the identity of the people.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelLarge number of people from nearby villages were seen rushing to the area. Bhat was buried on Sunday night and hundreds of people participated in his Nimaz-e-Jinazah.
Bhat a member Jamaat-e-Islamia, was booked under Public safety Act (PSA) in July this year and shifted to Allahabad Jail, where he died on Friday. (KNS)
