Srinagar, Jan 25 (KNS): Strongly reacting over the bill passed in legislative council wherein Hari Singh’s birthday has been declared as holiday, Hurriyat Conference (G) said that it is ridiculous to legitimize the despotic rule of Dogra rulers & it is to approve infamous Amritsar treaty.
Hurriyat (G) said that during the autocratic rule of Hari Singh, people were exploited and subjected to extreme barbarism. This is a miserable chapter of history and persons and parties responsible for this are not entitled to any type of esteem and respect.
In a statement issued to KNS, Hurriyat (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar said that Hari Singh behaved as dictator and as a despotic ruler & during his period hard-earned money were collected as taxes from helpless people and were ill-treated and manhandled by his men.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe role played by members of legislature is strange and criminal said spokesman and while lamenting at legislature members, he said they are responsible and indirectly conferred their consent to this proposal and move.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat (G) while reacting to alleged reports of desecration of dead bodies of slain youth in Ganderbal area and said it is highly deplorable and unacceptable in a civilized society.
Hurriyat Conference (G) said that whosoever is involved in this gruesome act are trampling all ethics. Referring to reports published in media, Huriyat said though police is denying the reports, however there are sufficient evidences that in past, such offences were committed by police authorities.
