Talking to KNS, the BJP President said the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has already assured people that no poor and common man will be touched. "I reiterate the words of LG Sinha that no poor or common man would be touched in the ongoing eviction drive," he said.

He said any revenue official indulged in changing the title of state land would not go unpunished. "If Tehsildar, Patwari, Girdawar or any revenue official will be found involved in changing the title of state land for monetary interests in past would not be spared" he said.

The BJP J&K President said land mafia, influential, political leaders, government officials, policemen etc if found involved in misuing their official positions in gobbling state land will be taken to task sternly.

He however said that no poor or common man would be touched or harmed in the ongoing eviction and demolition drive. "Government is drafting a policy for those having little piece of state land in their possession. Once the policy is out, the poor will be benifited utmost," Raina said.

On demolition drive carried out in Jammu’s Bhatindi, Raina said "Only 5 notices were sent in the area, however the big sharks there incited common people for protests and stone pelting. The influential misled innocent people in the area to cover their wrongdoings," he added. (KNS)
