Srinagar, Dec 01 (KNS): All Jammu and Kashmir Retired Police Personnel NGO and Others ForumTuesday staged a protest here against the government for delaying to enhance their medical allowance as per 6th pay commission.
Holding banners and shouting slogans like ‘We want Justice’, the protesters were demanding enhancement in medical allowances from Rs 300 to Rs 1000.
While talking to KNS, Ajeet Singh said that the government has delayed the process of enhancing their medical allowances and other related things announced by the state government.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“If the same has been announced then why does the delay occur in it,” Ajeet said.
He demanded that in recruitment, 15% quota should be reserved, pay anomalies and medical allowances should be enhanced at earliest.
“We have served the state government for a long time and now the government is pushing us to face tough time. We are urging the state government to look into the issue and redress our genuine grievance at earliest,” he said.
The protesters later dispersed peacefully. (KNS)
