Srinagar, Dec 22 (KNS): Authorities on Friday imposed restrictions in Srinagar areas to thwart any possible protest called by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) today.
The restrictions were imposed in Srinagar areas falling under the jurisdiction of Six police Stations including Rainawari, Nowhatta, Khanyar, MR Gunj, Safakadal, Maisuma and Kralkhud partially.
An official in the administration had told KNS that the restrictions will be imposed as a precautionary measure.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Earlier, the JRL had called for protests today after the Friday congregational prayers against the civilian killings in Kashmir.
The JRL comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had also asked the religious clerics to highlight the situation in their respective Masjids. (KNS)
