Jammu, Apr 06 (KNS): Expressing serious concern over the unrest that has been witnessed for the last few days at NIT campus in Srinagar, CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has urged the students of the Institution and the administration to resolve the issues amicably.
The clashes and confrontation at the campus is not only detrimental to the peace and tranquility in and around the campus but the same can denigrate the reputation of the Institution across. He also appealed the local and non local students at the NIT to ensure well-being of each other and not to do anything which can create discord among the student fraternity.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The students of the Institution should respect the communal harmony and pluralistic ethos of the State and ensure that no action on their part undermines this ages old tradition.
“Unfortunately, any further crisis or provocation is likely to turn into a major problem. The authorities of the institution must also keep an eye on the elements who want to cash the misgivings and misunderstanding among students to serve their partisan interests,” he said while urging the students to understand that an atmosphere of discord and uncertainty in the Institution will have a cascading impact on their careers.
