Srinagar, Jan 23 (KNS): A sit in protest against brute and egoistic approach of state administration and deteriorating condition of detainees was held at Hyderpora as per scheduled program by joint resistance leadership headed by Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik and leaders reiterated complete shutdown on January 26th.
In a statement issued to KNS, they said that India has no constitutional right to observe Republic Day in J&K as they have occupied state with their military might.
Noor Mohamad Kalwal, Raja Meraj u Din and Gh Nabi Zaki addressed participants and Sheikh Ab Rashid, Mohammad Shafi Rishi, Shakeel Ahmad Bhat, Mohammad Yassin Ataie, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Syed Mohammad Shafi, Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi, Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, Syed Imtiyaz Hyder, Professor Javed Ahmad, Mudasir Nadvi, Siraj Din, Ishfaq Ahmad Khan, Gazi Javed Ahmad, Gulam Mustafa, Ramiz Raja, Nisar Ahmad Bhat, Zahoor Ahmad Beg, Mukhtar Ahmad Dar, Mohammad Imran, Kh Firdous Ahmad, Sahil Ahmad Boya & Shamaim Ahmad Aakhoon from pro-freedom camp participated in sit in protest.
Pledged to carry ongoing freedom movement cooperatively, the leaders stressed more and strong unification among people and resistance camp.
They said that our unification has infused a new spirit and rejuvenated the passion among people and while terming the recent uprising a milestone, they said as compared to year 2008 and 2010, we have conveyed strong and powerful message to India.
While referring to policymakers in Delhi and their puppets in state, the leaders said that they feel distressed as we are united for the cause and coherence among people and resistance leadership. Strongly resenting and protesting issuance of domicile certificates to refugees, the leaders in a unanimous voice said that it is unacceptable and aimed at to alter the demographic status of state. We will never allow this and will fight tooth and nail, they said.
There is no legal or constitutional justification for their rehabilitation in state as they don’t belong to this state, however they as per partition plan are entitled to get domicile rights in other state of India.
Reiterating their appeal for complete shutdown on January 26, they said that every kind of activity related to India’s Republic Day should be boycotted.
They said it is ridiculous to call and force employees to attend 26th January event. Terming this state terrorism, the joint resistance leadership said that it is highly condemnable.
They called for complete boycott on January 26, and said that India has no constitutional right to observe Republic Day in J&K as they have occupied state with their military might. Referring to India’s stubborn approach and despite commitment with international community that they will ascertain the aspiration of people regarding their political destiny, but failed and instead its brute forces inflicted brutalities and are involved in violations of human rights and unleashing terrorism in state, said they.
Referring to the oppressive attitude of Indian forces towards the people of Jammu Kashmir they said that is totally unjustified that India celebrates this day in the State. (KNS)
