Srinagar, Apr 12 (KNS): The joint resistance leaders including Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik on Wednesday expressed deep grief over the death of a woman in Tahab Pulwama.
They strongly condemned state forces for their ‘brutality’ and while expressing their sorrow for loss of precious lives, said, “Unbridled powers vested in them and use of brute force against civilians is of great concern.”
Referring to indiscriminate use of force by men in uniform, resistance leaders said, “They enjoy impunity and license to kill anybody and till now no single forces personnel was brought to book or asked for the brutalities against peaceful civilians.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
In their statement issued to KNS, the resistance leaders expressed their anguish against the indiscriminate use of smoke shells and said, “There seems no letup as experts have declared these weapons as lethal and asked authorities to stop this practice against humans.”
Resistance leaders in their appeal to organizations for human rights and international community urged to take cognizance of reports of use of lethal weapons and ‘atrocities’ being inflicted by forces against civilian population in nook and corner of the state and asked to use their influence for restricting these lethal weapons.
