Srinagar, May 28 (KNS): The residents of Wadwan Madwa, Tehsil Kishtwar Saturday staged protest against a private firm who provided solar lights to the residents in the area and soon after installing it, they wind up their business.
Inhabitants according to KNS correspondent, Muhammad Abbas said that a private firm namely 'Solid Solar by Gautam Polymers' in 2013 provided solar lights to the people.
The frim was financed by Jammu and Kashmir Bank. “The cost of the solar lights was Rs 30,000 to Rs 60,000 but six months after installing the solar lights in the area, the concerned authorities wind up their services thereby leaving us to lurch at large,” locals said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Locals said that soon after the installation of solar lights, they are lying defunct. “The authorities during installation assured us any type of help but unfortunately instead of helping us, they wind up their business in the area,” he said.
Inhabitants said that they approached to the Bank officials in this regard but nothing has been done in this regard.
The residents later appealed Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, to intervene into the matter and redress the genuine demands of people.
An official of JK Bank told KNS that they will take this issue with the private firm to redress the genuine demands of people. (KNS)
