Srinagar, Jan 25 (KNS): Senior Peoples Conference leaders Abdul Gani Vakil and Khurshid Ahmad Khan on Friday said reservation for Pahari community is a historic step to undo the decades of injustice done with the community.
In a statement issued to KNS, the PC leaders said Sajad Gani Lone deserves appreciation for being architect of the bill for keeping quota in government jobs and admissions for Pahari community.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“The successive regimes have treated Pahari community as mere votebank and done nothing for their betterment. It was only due to efforts of Sajad Gani Lone that Pahari community got its due share,” they said.
Pertinently, as minister in-charge social Welfare Sajad Gani Lone had presented the bill in the Assembly and had also met Governor several times for its assent. (KNS)
