Awatipora, Jan 24 (KNS): Full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day Parade 2021 was held at District Police Lines Awantipora on Sunday. 

According to a statement issued to news agency KNS Tehsildar Awantipora  Mohammad Maqbool unfurled the National flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past.

It said that ADC Awantipora Zaffar Husson Shawl-KAS, Superintendent of police Awantipora Tahir Saleem- JKPS, Dy. SP DAR DPL Rashid Akbar and other senior officers of civil administration, police department were present on the occasion. 

"The parade was commanded by SDPO Tral Shri Aejaz Ahmad - JKPS." 

The statement said that the march past was presented by the contingents of CRPF, SSB,J&K Armed police, J&K Police and Home Guard.

"On the occasion, rehearsal of colourful cultural programs was presented by the artists," it said. (KNS)
