Srinagar, Sep 24 (KNS): Government employees Thursday castigated at state government for falling to release their salary on the eve of EId- ul Azha.
A delegation of employees headed by President EJAC district Kupwra Mir Fayaz which visited KNS office alleged government for not releasing their salaries on the Eid.
“Despite knowing that people have to buy sacrificial animals on this Eid and there are other expenditures which nobody can avoid on this special occasion, government did not pay any heed to the employee’s pleas and failed to release our salaries,” delegation said.
Delegation also resented the “tough procedures” of J&K Bank’s new scheme “Festival Advance Scheme” launched for the employees and termed it as “money minting scheme.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
“Government employees play a huge rule for the J&K Bank economy, but this festival advance scheme has difficult procedure and other loopholes including 13. 5 per cent text on the person who applies for it,” delegation said.
The delegation also alleged that there are thousands of regular as well as daily wagers from different departments whose salaries are pending from last several months and years respectively. “Government must release their salaries as soon as possible so that their families don’t face starvation,” delegation demanded.
