Regularise contractual medical staff from world bank grant: Kadfeen urges Govt


Srinagar October 17:(KNS) At a time when the government has submitted the demand of Rs 367 Crore for upgradation of health infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir, Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary has underlined the importance of enhancement of retirement age of medicos.

Kadfeen said that in order to ensure betterment in health infrastructure of Jammu and Kashmir, the government has sought financial assistance of Rs 376 crores from the World Bank. Kadfeen highlighted the need for more combative measures to contain the spread of deadly coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir and urged the government to enhance the retirement age of the medicos in order to avail maximum benefit from their services at the present time.

He maintained that it is the high time when the experience and expertise of the senior doctors should be utilised by the government and that the aftermath of the deadly coronavirus is tamed and tackled with utmost seriousness.

Kadfeen also demanded that the paramedical staff engaged on the contractual basis in Jammu and Kashmir should be regularised as it is the high time when the government should recognise the appreciable work they are doing amid the present pandemic. (KNS)
