Refund fees of aspirants who applied advertises posts and later got scrapped: Vakil

Srinagar October 19 (KNS): : Sr. Vice President J&K People's Conference and former minister  Abdul Gani Vakil said the LG administration has not been able to provide any transparent recruitment process in J&K that has caused increased unemployment in the Union Territory instead of providing employment the LG administration has started looting poor aspirants who apply for the posts advertised in the name of fees only later to be scrapped.

The former minister demanded the government to repay all the fees to the aspirants who applied for advertised posts and later were scrapped because of malpractices in the recruitment process as they are already facing financial burden. “This is another injustice with the job aspirants,” he added.

In a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), today Vakil said the Public Service Commissions, Services Selection Board and other autonomous bodies issue job notifications and collect hefty amount of form fees from the aspirants only to revoke or scrap them later for one or other reason.

It is surprising that now the Kashmir  university too has scrapped the job advertisements of Assistant Registrar and Junior Assistant after another alleged malpractices came to light in recruitment process but only after taking fees from the aspirants. “The recruitment process in J&K has become a crude joke and the pockets of aspirants are being looted,” Vakil added.

Scrapping notification after notification and declaring results for SI posts and FAA null and void after scams came to fore are glaring examples how the LG administration has failed to curb corruption in J&K. Vakil demanded probe in the alleged mal practices found in Kashmir University recruitment of AR and JA by CBI. (KNS)
