Reflectors installed at various places in Sopore to prevent accidents

Sopore, Dec 18 (KNS): In an effort to prevent road accidents that occur because of low visibility, an NGO in north Kashmir’s Sopore town in collaboration with Municipal Council Sopore installed reflectors on streets, dividers and turning points across the town.

Chairman of the Wular Foundation NGO said that they installed reflectors at various places and junctions like SDH Sopore, New Colony, Iqbal Market, Chankhan, Main Chowk and Fruit Mandi crossing today.

He said that they had prepared a list of accident-prone sites and reflectors were installed in those areas.

“The reflectors are expected to help drivers notice dividers from a distance and take evasive action if necessary,” he claimed. 

He said that apart from installing reflectors, they will installing LED traffic lights to avoid mishaps caused by poor visibility on roads. (KNS)
