Appeal Govt to enhance quota upto 10 liters
Srinagar, Dec 25 (KNS): Inhabitants of Shehr-e-Khaas are up in arms against the central government for failing to provide adequate kersonse quota to them.
The residents here said that as the Valley especially the city areas are facing worst power crises and at the same time the central government has reduced the kerosene quota again thereby left the people to face tremendous hardships.
They said that the state government must approach to the Union government and appeal them to enhance the quota for the well being of the residents.
Meanwhile, Ghulam Rasool Shah, President of Kerosene dealers association told KNS that they are thankful to the Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD), Chowdary Zulfikar Ali for enhancing the kersonse quota for the residents here from 2.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel5 liters to 5 liters for this month only. He said that from next month, the people would receive only 2.5 liters again.
“The government must look into the sufferings of the people here and should enhance the quota upto 10 liters per month,” he said.
He said that the reduction in the kerosene quota has resulted in the sufferings to the people.
The association president later appealed the Minister ofr CA&PD to intervene and redress the genuine grievances of the people. (KNS)
