Srinagar, Sep 26 (KNS): Chief Engineer Distribution Kashmir Power Development Corporation Ltd (KPDCL)Er Javid Yousuf today called the recent Amnesty Scheme  a golden opportunity for consumers who had earlier not paid bills on time.

" Those consumers who have not paid their electricity bills till 31 March 2022 will have to pay the electricity fee in twelve installments without interest," he told KNS while referring about the  waiver for domestic power consumers in the interest accumulated in the power bills on account of non-payment of timely dues. 

Chief Engineer also said consumers who have not paid their electricity fees will benefit from this scheme as they have to pay only principal amount. 


He said that this process has already started and people in the subdivisions are submitting their bills while in the coming days, dept will organize a special camps for awareness. 

Chief Engineer also said, "we will ensure that electricity supply for the upcoming winter period would be far better than the previous year," adding that people  should follow the agreement and use the electrical appliances in the limit.(KNS)
