Srinagar Jan 22 (KNS):The president of Awami national Conference (ANC) khalida Shah on Wednesday in statement to KNS said “The Kashmir Magazine, January 2020 edition, with the cover story "The SAGA OF ARTICLE 370," a point by point rebuttal by our Party President Begum Khalida Shah currently under house arrest along with ANC Sr.Vice President Mr.Muzzafar Shah in Srinagar since 5th August 2019, to the speech of Hon'ble Prime Minister, Union Home Minister & MOS in PMO on 5th/6th August 2019 made on the floor of the Parliament during the discussion on the bill for Abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A of the Constitution of India - A humble contribution by Jammu and Kashmir Awami National Conference (ANC) for the people of Jammu and Kashmir to set the record straight towards restoration of Article 370 and Article 35 A .
A legally wetted document by top legal luminaries was forwarded by ANC President in November 2019, (Based on the now published cover story "The SAGA of Article 370")for tabling it as "Privilege Motion" by the National Conference, PDP & the Congress representing the State in both houses of Parliament. Copies of the document were delivered to the heads of the Congress, CPI, CPM, NCP, TMC, AIIM, RJD, DMK, JD (U) & important members of both houses of Parliament seeking their support for this Privilege Motion making both the Prime Minister & Home Minister liable for misleading & misrepresenting facts on the historic events of Jammu & Kashmir & its relationship with the Union of India through Article 370 - "A severe breach of Constitutional Propriety inviting serious legal complications".

In a statement to KNS Begum Khalida Shah has sought urgent attention towards the matter once again with the hope that the Privilege Motion will be tabled in the upcoming Parliament session of Feb 2020. The massive majority of people in Jammu and Kashmir will never accept Abrogation of Article 370, Article 35 A and disintegration of the State into Union Territories done Unconstitutionally, Illegally and Undemocratically. A sustained propaganda on Jammu and Kashmir is being fed to the Nation and the International community by the hired print and electronic media that is shocking and far from the truth and reality. We Express full confidence in the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India with its highest tradition of judicial respectability acknowledged world over will deliver its verdict on Article 370, guaranteeing to respect and protect the demography ,Land resources,economic rights and jobs - A Political commitment arrived after protected negotiations between two sovereign people for protecting their unique and distinct culture and dignity . The basic fundamental Rights guaranteed by the Constitution trampled under the guise of National security through the barrel of the gun need to be restored.
Copies of the "SAGA of Article 370" have been dispatched to all the Political Parties in the Opposition, Civil Society, Legal luminaries and Media in and outside Jammu and Kashmir reminding them for their support and corporation.
