Srinagar, June 04 (KNS): Chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik who was released on bail from central jail Srinagar late last night has been again arrested today from Lal chowk Srinagar.
After his release yesterday, Yasin Malik was at his home when at 11: 30 pm police and task force personal barged into his house and started beating and abusing his family and other people around.
People of Maisuma came out of their homes against this hooliganism of police and SOG after which police started shelling of tear gas and pepper gas on residents. SOG and police attacked the whole locality and used brutal force against common people.
Police also targeted WAR family and threw a shell into their home seriously injuring three children.
After shelling for about one hour, SOG once again raided the residence of Yasin Malik. They beat his mother and ailing sister and locked them inside a room. This hooliganism of police continued until 2:00 pm after which police imposed curfew in the area.
Today morning Yasin Malik addressed a press conference at road in which he gave details of his detention and police attack on his home, family and locality.
In his address to the press JKLF chairman said that he is being targeted by India and its stooges because he started a unification campaign between resistance camp especially APHC (G), APHC (M) and JKLF.
He said that India and its stooges are afraid of unity between Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq and Yasin Malik and they think that Yasin Malik has been instrumental in forging this unity. That is why India and its stooges have started a revengeful campaign against me.
Yasin Malik said that India and its stooges should keep in mind that conspiratorial plots like construction of settlement colonies for Pandits, separate colonies for Sainiks, industrial policy and terrorizing Jammu Muslims are a direct threat to our national interests and even our existence.
Therefore every Kashmiri stands against these plots and even Kashmiri Pandits and Hindus living in Kashmir have expressed their resentment against these conspiratorial plots.
Yasin Malik said that taking this national consensus on these issues forward ,he took the job of devising unity among various resistance parties, social, religious ,trade union and civil society groups and besides having a joint meeting with Syed Ali Shah Geelani sahib and Mirwaiz Muhammad Umer Frooq sahib ,he met with other concerned people too. This unity move was not liked by India and its Kashmiri stooges and because of this he was arrested on 25th may 2016.
Yasin Malik said that during his detention at police station Kothibagh, a senior officer representing government met him and told him that he can be jailed for this for five years, his every party worker can be arrested and put behind bars and even government can use its machinery to spread propaganda against him that this job was assigned to Yasin Malik by National conference.
Yasin Malik said that even a senior police officer started this campaign of defamation against him and firstly conveyed to some journalists and traders that Yasin Malik was doing this at the behest of Pakistan and when this did not worked told them that he was doing this at the behest of NC.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelMalik said that he rejected every offer, intimidation and bullying and told the officers that these issues were related to the very existence of our nation and that he was ready to face any consequences for standing opposite to these anti-Kashmiri plots.
Yasin Malik said that Kashmiris stand united against these conspiratorial plots and for forging unity among Kashmiris on these issues he was ready to spend not only five but ten years in jail. Yasin Malik said that after his arrest on 25th may, he wrote a letter to chief justice high court Srinagar and was released on bail after two hearings of that case. He said that police has been arresting him on and off but and he never obstructed or resisted his arrest but today police and SOG had not come to arrest him but to show hooliganism.
JKLF chairman said that police could have arrested him after his release from central jail but chose to attack him, his family and his locality during night. This only reveals the venom of rulers and shows their frustration. In fact rulers and their authorities wanted to invade Maisuma to demoralize the resistance loving people of this area that has been a hub of resistance from 1928.
Yasin Malik said that Mehbooba mufti by attacking women, elders and children of maisuama, using her hooligans have shown her real face. This lady who once used to wear green robes and visit families of martyrs and shed tears on their corpses and name task force as a force of dacoits is now using the power of hooligans to rule on Jammu Kashmir.
Yasin Malik said that Mehbooba Mufti, his masters and his hooligans should know that they cannot scare us through these oppressive measures because oppression always hardens our resolve and passion .condemning the hooliganism and highhandedness of police, Yasin Malik said that it was police terrorism that compelled us to start an armed struggle in 1988 and it is the same police barbarism that is compelling young and learned Kashmiris to join the ranks of armed struggle today. He said that police has unleashed a reign of terror against peaceful activists throughout Jammu Kashmir and has left no space for peaceful political activities. Yasin Malik said that jail is his second home and freedom movement was his love, is his love and will remain his first love till the achievement of freedom from illegal occupation.
After addressing the press conference Yasin Malik led a rally towards lal chowk. Police that had cordoned off the whole area stopped yasin sahib and others near Budshah Bridge but Yasin Malik and other provided a stiff resistance to the police. Police used teargas shells and cane charge to disperse the crowd and arrested Yasin sahib. He was immediately taken to police station Shergadi. It is worth to mention that no one is being allowed to meet him in police station and even necessary medicine and food was not allowed by police.
Meanwhile JKLF vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi who is also in police custody was today shifted to Bemina police Chowki from his residence. JKLF has condemned his illegal detention. (KNS)
